Blogging: interrupt constantly

I don’t know about you but have you ever experienced or had a situation where you are typing away in your awesome blog, your full of inspiration and awesome ideas just flowing from the fountain of words and amazing experiences or nostalgia …until someone just keeps nudging and butting in your thought process

And to make the matters a little difficult, the person or people demand your attention since it’s rude to talk to someone while on your laptop, desktop or phone.

What do you want, said I .

person x , do you remember where I kept that thing, the thing that holds the other thing?

๐Ÿ˜’ seriously, your interrupting me and my fountain of words for that? are kidding me!๐Ÿ˜ค

And that’s how my words and fountain of inspiration disappears in to the thin air. Utterly left with drafts of amazing stuff or not so to share with the world or share with yourself, that is, if you don’t get a single person on your blog for the day. That my beloved friends are the dry days of your blog, they will be creeping up on you.

So what’s next? Do you hide or go to the loo do write your blog , because who actually disturbs while your in the lavatory๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜‰you get

Or do you have any ideas that work to help you keep your creative juices flowing amidst the unavoidable interruption? Save a sister out, y’all ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. I’m not that big of a blogger, but I am a writer (of sorts), so I’ve been there.
Can’t remember ever having too much of a problem, however. I almost always write/type while in the confines of my own bedroom (or somewhere in the home), and I’ve found that often, the only way I’m going to get anything done is if, yes, I am a little rude about things.
In other words, if I’m interrupted, I’m usually incredibly obvious about it. I have no problem telling my fiance “wait a second–I need to finish this thought” or even just plain “SHHH!”, depending on just how complex or difficult the thought is to hold.
The bigger problem is now that I’m a mom… sometimes there’s nothing to do about an amped-out little person who just wants to climb on you or play this or do that. A curious albeit brazenly snotty-nosed individual who doesn’t understand the importance of work and deadlines nor of keeping the silence while someone is at work.
In times like those–they’re the only times actually, when–I will just put the keyboard aside. I put the thought aside too. And I turn to my little girl and I give her a big hug.
And to hell with my all-important string of words.
In my opinion, if truly one finds herself retreating to the bathroom to blog, something needs to be resolved. Perhaps tell your loved ones (or roomies, or whomever) kindly that when they see you at work on your blog, to please leave you alone. And in return, once you are finished, go up to them and initiate a conversation, just to show it is not that you lack an interest in them.
Best of luck in the quest for quietude and happy blogging. ๐Ÿ™‚
